ఆంగ్లంలో యాంటీబాడీస్ (Antibodies) అంటారు. యాంటీబాడీ (Ab) లేదా ఇమ్యునోగ్లోబులిన్ (Ig) అనేది ఒక పెద్ద, Y- ఆకారపు ప్రోటీన్, ఇది వ్యాధిని కలిగించే వాటితో సహా బ్యాక్టీరియా, వైరస్‌లు, శిలీంధ్రాలు, పరాన్నజీవులు, రసాయనాలు వంటి యాంటిజెన్‌లను గుర్తించడానికి, తటస్థీకరించడానికి శరీరం రోగనిరోధక వ్యవస్థ ఉత్పత్తి చేస్తుంది.^[1]
